About Us
The Floreat Fitness Collective
The Floreat Fitness Collective is a small family business, owned by Leanne and Jay King. They provide group training, youth strength and conditioning and 1:1 classes held at a number of locations.

Leanne King
​
Leanne has aways used Functional Fitness to enhance her performances in sport. She has been a Secondary PE Teacher for over 14 years. Having played elite Hockey in both the UK and Ireland for over 20 years, Leanne now spends much of her time coaching.
Since returning to Dublin, Leanne has been leading the strength and conditioning program in her current school, Mount Anville, providing inclusive classes for 12 -18 year olds. In addition to this, Leanne has provided strength and conditioning programming and coaching for Leinster Hockey U18 Girls.
Leanne has taken her personal development very seriously and holds a wide range of relevant qualifications including: A BSc in Sport Science & Health, Nutrition and Exercise. A PGCE in Secondary PE, Certificates in Women's Health and Functional Fitness, Engaging girls in physical activity, Supporting female athletes in School Sport; Managing Young people, Mental Health and Mindfulness in the classroom, and Building a Successful High Performance Team.
Leanne has coached a range of sports and has coaching qualifications in the following: Swim England ASA Level 1, England Netball Level 1, Hockey Ireland Level 2, Hockey Ireland Female Coaches Program, British Gymnastics Trampolining Level 2, England Athletics level 2, FA Football Level 1, The Well HQ Practitioners Course, CrossFit Level 1 (CF-OL1) and the CrossFit Educator's Course.

Jay King
​
Jay has been using the CrossFit methodology since 2012. He has been a Primary School Teacher for over 12 years. Jay has experience coaching in a number of gyms in London and Dublin. He ran CrossFit LPS out of his school from 2014-2019 where he ran CrossFit Kids programming for one of the two weekly PE lessons for every class in the school. He also ran breakfast and after school clubs twice a week for up to 100 children. In all, about 400 children were exposed to CrossFit at least once a week. Most recently, Jay has provided an insight for ways in which to adapt and modify CrossFit Linchpin programming for children.

He also holds: A BSc in Sport Science, PGCE in Primary Education, NPQSL in Senior Leadership, Certified CrossFit Trainer (CF-L3), CrossFit Kids Trainer, Aerobic Capacity, Anatomy, Dumbbell, Lesson Planning, Scaling and Spotting the Flaw certificates.
